squigster
Hey All, I need to transfer some old Chemionics to a different container so that I can cut open the original container so that I can scrape out the hard pack to remix it. I am thinking about a 5 gallon bucket and adding a ball valve to the bucket but I am worried the buckets curvature may be a problem with sealing it good enough when I drill a hole for the ball valve. I figured a 5 gallon bucket would be much easier to remix alos in the future. Any thoughts on this? or have you guys done anything similar? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks! wallyc14
I have taken a spout for a Colman cooler( bought it separately at dicks sporting goods) and put it in a wide mouth one gallon jug that I had laying around and it works good for me, I would think you could do the same with a bucket. I used no sealant on it. It came with a gasket and it doesn't leak . I can take a pic later. I just take the lid off and loosen up the hard pack on the bottom and put it back in service
bryanmc
I used to buy some plastic on ebay that came in 2 gallon buckets. I'd just use a cup to dip it out as needed until it got low enough to easily pour from the bucket. Edited April 30, 2017 by bryanmc
