NM Hevi
While applying epoxy on billed cranks i hold the bill/lip and apply 2T with a brush, but with shallow running jerks (110 style) i dont have much to hold on too and have dropped several while applying. My question is, I've seen a tool that looks like a Exacto knife handle that clamps or hooks on to the hook hangers and holds them in place, anyone know what they're called? Alligator clips aren't strong enough. Tired of dropping half epoxied baits, thanks John
Anglinarcher
I use pointed mini vise grips that I got at Harbor Freight. They were cheep, worked great, and were able to open and close well once adjusted. I have used forceps, but I did not have the clamp power I wanted. Hope this helps.
NM Hevi
Thanks I'll give that a try. Actually already have those needle nose Vise Grips too. Would still like to know the name of those other type that look like an Exacto knife handle. John

John I think they were just that, exacto knife handles.

BobP
Yep, exacto handles with the blade removed. I use locking forceps to grip the lips while painting. Put a little painter's tape on the lip to avoid scratching it.
