Kscatman76
I have a Lee production pot that I've had for over 20 years. It's taking FOREVER to heat the lead now. Should I just buy another coil/heater and maybe a new inner pot for it or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new one? If you guys say the parts how hard is it to change stuff out? thanks in advance, travis
Kscatman76
also If I buy a new pot should I get the lee production pot or the 20 pound lee procession pot? they are only $5 difference on Amazon, does the newer 20 pound leak and splatter less than the 10 pound production pot? Jig Man
When mine wore out on the inside I bought the liner and new plunger it was easy to change out but was still leaky.
cadman
If I were you, I would call up Lee and tell them the problem and how old your pot is. They may be able to fix it and test it with all new components for less than you can get parts and install. They may even replace parts for you for free. I have had 3 pots serviced by them and I was very happy with their work, customer service and turn-around time. I will tell you this, that as many times as I've had a Lee pot, they will all leak at some point in time. Some more than others.
