What am I doing wrong

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I've started pouring swimbaits recently and just made a new mold with same silicone and same masters. But now I'm having a new problem.

when i do multiple colors for some reason I can't get the plastisol to get a nice uniforme fill at the tail of the swimbait. I'm found open hand poured swimbaits. I didn't have this problem before. And I haven't done anything different that I can notice. But I did start using baitjunkies plastisol witch I think it's great.

Any help please !!!!!

Here is some photos this are the better ones the other ones look a lot worse.

Thanks

Air is being trapped.   Plastic is generally too cool  to allow the bubble to rise up the tail and cavity.  Either go warmer plastic or cut a very small vent (like a micro sliver of material) to allow the air to escape and the cavity fill.   Both may be needed and I always preferred venting than trying to push plastic hotter especially with neon or light colors.
