Roba22
This may be the wrong place for this post but I did not see a topic here to cover lead pouring so I figured I would post here and I/m sure someone would correct me and or put this in the right place. I have been considering buying a lead melting pot and get some molds and start pouring my own lead heads. I use round and football head jigs with weed guards, as well as stand up style shaky heads in round and football with screw locks and thought why not pour my own if I can find the right molds. so my question is where can I find the right info on lead pouring, molds, and how too's? thank you! Chuck Young
A tin / bismuth blend is an eco friendly alternative that is about 80% the density of lead. As a rule of thumb, casters using this metal use the "next size up" method to achieve close to the proper weight.
