taylorskyy1
I just purchased a 55 gallon drum of medium plastisol and was wondering everyones opinion on mixing. Mixers are almost as much as the barrel. Does anyone have a cheaper approach? Just wondering if anyone has any info Thanks in advance-
Basseducer
I just use a heavy duty paint mixer on an electric drill. Then I break the drum down into 5 gallon buckets. Easier to work with that way and I don't have to remix the whole drum every time I use plastic.

Baitjunkys
Mix it good, If it is not mixed well the first 5 gallons you take out will ruin the entire chemistry. Cant beat a drum mixer. A electric drill and a drywall mixer works well. when you think you mixed enough run another 10 minutes.
Bass-Boys
I remember one time a guy was telling us he used to roll the barrel on its side up and down the driveway.
Bass-Boys
what I do to get it mixed well and keep it consistent is, after it is mixed in the barrel I put apx 1 gallon in each 5 gallon bucket. Then I mix again and put apx 1 more gallon in each bucket then mix again and so on . This works awesome.
DaveMc1
Drum mixer, lock it to the drum, turn it on and let it run for an hour or 2 and it will be mixed properly. Always scrape the bottom to check that there isn't any resin settled on the bottom.
