SRJ
This in Facebook. Seems to make sense to me. "Storing Plastisol over time: As bait makers, you may already know this. But it is something I learned today and wanted to share if you didn't think of it. An old friend told me today about the settling of plastisol when stored, about stirring over and over again before using. This is what he said to do; Cook all of your clear plastisol and pour into a tray to harden. Then cut it into cubes of 1oz size (like an icecube size) and store them. When you need some, take out as many cubes, cook and add color as needed. Anyone do this?"
Les Young
I just rotate mine from sitting on the bottom of the jug to sitting on the top & it does fine. Before i make any baits i just gently shake so i don't make bubbles & don't have to wait for them to dissapate & works fine.
Anglinarcher
I know that Larry Dahlberg, host of Hunt for Big Fish, does that. He really likes it. I just don't like reheating anymore then I have to.
alsworms
I know a couple guys who did this, but it seemed like too much work for me. I chose to just mix.......and mix.......and mix......and mix.....which was probably more work.
Jig Man
You can do like Les or you can make a mixer out of a wire clothes hanger then stir it with a drill.
mark poulson
I only buy in gallons, but I wonder how much settling there is in 55 gallon drums? Does it depend on the supplier?

Most all the people I have heard from either are big users and doesn't last long or hobbyist and buy this quantity to save money then put it in gallon or quart containers. After mixing the entire batch, of course.
Baitjunkys
Very little in a drum, And it don't settle out that fast.. All plastic Phases, Ie separates over time. I cant see cooking a entire gallon or even 5 gallons, just to eliminate mixing it up once in a while. But whatever works for you.
