The Dutchman
Which size would fit in weedguard pin slot in jig?
cadman
If you are looking to use the Nylostrand, that all depends on what you are trying to do with it. I only use it as a weedguard. So what I do, is cut the size I need, add about and 1/8" to the length. Then, I take the last 1/8" and bend it over itself, and then put this in the mold to pour. Once the lead fills the mold, the weedguard it is not coming out. That is the way I do my weedguards. If I want a twin weedguard, I just make sure two make both ends the same length, and then bend it in half and stick it in the weedguard cavity on the mold and pour your lead. Now remember this will vary per mold. If your mold uses 1/8" pins, then the 90 lb doubled over will probably work for you if that is what you want. If you have a mold that accepts only a FG-9 weeguard, than only one piece of 90 lb will work. All the other diameters work as well. It all depend on how stiff you want it and what you are trying to accomplish. I hope this answers your question. If not, please elaborate further. As far as what size leader sleeves fit, I can't help you there, but take a look at LPO's website and I believe there is some info there. If not call them up and they will be happy to help you.
