swimjig
Does anyone know how to achieve a mottled 2-tone look similar to boss's prepainted green pumpkin. It is a green pumpkin with black splashed over
cadman
I believe boss's paint is a two part. I would suggest buying a vein paint, as it is as easy as dip your jig in the paint, and then the paint will separate from the black. It is really called vein paint. However, I have not seen the green pumpkin/black in a vein paint. So you have two options, buy the Boss powder paint, or paint your jig green pumpkin and just start splashing black powder over it. You can also paint your jig green pumpkin, and then take a tooth brush dip it in black paint and flick the bristles of black paint onto your jig. Hope this helps. Then if you want a gloss coat, you can clear coat with a two part epoxy. Edited October 31, 2017 by cadman
walleyeking
You need to buy the base paint wich is called vein or netcraft calls it hammered. The base you want is the silver with black blotches. You need to bake them in the oven to cure the base then go back and paint over it with a candy or other transparent color. Then bake to cure again.
