Hawg Hooker Posted January 10, 2018 Report Share Posted January 10, 2018 My question is... when i look at some of my store bought jigs, i have noticed that the hooks are heavier gauge and size then the the ones i ordered from LPO last week. Obviously there are many brands and sizes to choose from. I bought 4/0 and 5/0 mustad, Gami and VMC 60 degree offset jig hooks. I figured that i would get a few different sizes and manufactures to see which would work best. All most all the store bought jigs have a heavier gauge and larger than a 5/0 hook when i compared them to the ones i purchased. I assumed that the 5/0 would be fairly large for most jigs...but obviously not. Do these manufactures have special hooks they use for there molds that are not usable in Do it molds?
