Akteacher
I don’t have much chance testing crankbaits here in Alaska, but if anyone wants to download the file and give it a go, the link is to the fusion 360 gallery file location. It is just a one piece body and a separate lip, but I am working on a two piece body with a weight chamber. https://gallery.autodesk.com/fusion360/projects/115863/crankbait-replica?searched= A photo has been uploaded to the gallery.. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/gallery/image/17500-fusion-360-3d-crankbait-model/ Edited January 14, 2018 by Akteacher Added the links
jonister
If I can open the file I'll see if I can print that Tuesday when I'm in class. It looks awesome!
Akteacher
I also uploaded the file on “Thingiverse”... it’s in .stl format.. if you can’t get a copy , maybe I can email a version to you. I also have a two part body that I’m not quite ready to upload. It looks the same on the outside, but I split the body and added a few more details.. weight chambers, and some alignment features to help glue the body together.. Akteacher
Any chance you had an opportunity to print it out?
jonister
I have not. The original one downloaded was in 3d or fusion 360's file so I passed it on to the lab admin to convert over. Might have to give the stl. A try and just print it myself. I'll see if I can download it and find a open printer tomorrow.
Akteacher
If that one doesn’t work out so well, I have a split body version that I can send you to you to print out.
jonister
Don't mind me taking a few weeks to go about this I managed to get the file converted and finally printed it out. I printed it horizontal on its side. I also found a few other ones on thingaverse. My next project is to assemble and smooth them out with acetone vapor. Forgive my camera skills.
