Guest Anonymous
Hey guys, I'm looking for rattles that I can glue permanently on the hook shank. However, there MUST be a clearance between the rattle and hook shank to allow a trailer to be threaded on! I'm specifically talking about the "double barrel" rattles that are equipped on Strike King Jigs. Thanks in advance..............
JIGMAKER
Is this what your looking for? http://livolure.homestead.com/accessories.html
Mr B
I dont use them that often. But when I need a rattle like you are talking about (one that will allow a trailer to go under) I use this one. I tie on my skirts so it tiesrigh under the skirt, bu if you use skirt collars it goes right into the collar. It also has a hole near the skirt end that the hook goes through for stability. It is not a double chamber but it is one of the loudest out there. Option C is the one I get. Guest Anonymous
Jigmaker--Thank you, I believe that's exactly what I'm looking for! Mr B--Thanks for your input. Unfortunately, those rattles break off quite easily which is why I stopped using them. I appreciate your effort though.
Celticav
You could try putting a shim (plastic or whatever) between the shank and the rattle to give you the clearance your seeking, then shrink wrap over the shim and rattle to permenantly hold it all in place. Hope it helps, JIM
