Baldy
I am looking at making some large twin spin musky spinnerbaits. I am looking for some tips on making the twin spin portion of this lure. Anyone have experience or tips for making these? Thanks - Baldy
Richoc
I make a twin muskie buzz bait. Can give some direction, as to how. I use brazing to put the wire form together. Not just a larger bass form bent together form that way. You can also change the mold to take 2 wire forms. R-bend them and bend the wires out from there. Baldy
Thanks, Richoc. I have another idea to try in my head. Just have to try and get it perfected.
Richoc
There are 3 ways I have done it. The last is the easy one. The 2 full wire method. The full wire, with twisting in a second length of wire. Then braze. Short wire with a u shaped wire, then braze.( easy one)
Richoc
Ok this is a scan. I hope you can see how it is 2 .051 ss. wires brazed together then bent up for the blade arms. You will need to use mapp gas, and silver brazing compond and flux. I got mine at the local welding supply shop. 1 troy oz. of the stuff and the flux was like $36. Will do a lot of wires though. This braze is over a 1/2 inch long and should be a strong as the wire is. As posted this is not the only way I have done these but it has turned out to be the easy way.
