Rnd101
How would you get a matte finish on your wiggle wart baits? I love fishing the storm wiggle wart and am painting lures and was wondering how one would get the matte finish.
DingerBaits
If you use KBS, you can dip it in KBS let it cure, then spray a flat clear over it such as rustoleum. I was told this works by a credible person.
Rnd101
i am using the etex lite 30 min epoxy i wonder if it would still work on that?
Benzin555
Yes it will work over ETex as well. I have had pretty good results using the process explained by Dinger. Here is a shad rap repaint using the process. A Swimbait as well

Just remember that the spray can rustoleum will react and soften if it is left in contact with plastisol baits.
KClark
I found out by mistake that the Diamond finish in the aerosol can is a flat finish. I thought that I was doing something wrong so I looked it up on their web site. "If a flat finish is what you are after. Use the aerosol"

Several years ago, when Butch Brown began making his custom glide baits, I tried that Plasti-Dip spray, to see if I could get that kind of a soft textured bait. It worked, but you have to keep a coated bait away from soft plastic baits, or it will melt, and ruin the paint scheme.
