Sam Grimes
Hey guys, I am new to the forum and new to lure building. I am in the process of collecting everything that I need to get setup painting plugs, and although I've done a lot of reading, I still have several questions. I plan to make my first order of blanks from Dinger and the LJ is by far the plug I'm most eager to paint, but I'm serious where guys are buying these blanks with the CB lip? I have looked all over and not seen one yet, but I see them for sale on eBay already painted. Thanks in advance!
DingerBaits
The company that sold them no longer sells blank lures that I know of. You can buy the real ones unpainted online, but you are paying retail price.
Sam Grimes
Thanks Dinger! How do the blanks with the plastic bill compare to the originals? I don't expect perfect consistency, but is there anything I should be looking for on each body before I paint one? thanks
Sam Grimes
While it's on my mind, the silent LJ's you have on your site, do they have the weight transfer in them? If not, is the bulk weight close to the same?
DingerBaits
The ones with the plastic bill are a completely different model. They are a medium diver. Closest one out there to a CB little john with out buying the originals are the DCB FS. I may be in some negotiations with SPRO right now to get some of their stuff.
