alfredo7zavala
Per 8oz of Plastisol, I’m using 2 TBs of salt. Which I’m adding before heating. I’ve trialed with blended powdered salt & fine salt. my stick baits are weighing 9g. I have tested them & they do sink well but I would like them to weigh 10-11g. Does a certain brand of salt suspend in the plastisol better than others? Also, does Glass Bead Media help with density of stick baits? But I’ve alsp ready because that it can scratch your injector from others experience any insight or info would be really appreciated, thanks
DaBehr
Google: glass bead material for Senkos for lots of links. It's important to get the correct media.
joelhains
I use 80 grit bead blasting media. Start with 1-2 tablespoons per cup of uncooked plastic and adjust for desired sink rate from there. I don't bother with salt anymore.

MonteSS
The formula to get an 11g 5" stick (salt or glass beads) per 8oz medium plastic is 4 tablespoon 2 tablespoon softener.

Probably depends on the mold. That formula in a do-it essential series 5" senko comes out right at 10g for me.

alfredo7zavala
What brand of salt are you guys using? I believe the one I’m using is settling to quickly
mark poulson
For me, keeping salt suspended is a trade off. Powdering my salt keeps it in suspension a long time, but it turns my colors milky. The coarsersalts keep the baits clearer, but I have to constantly stir. I don't have a magic answer. Sorry.
Frank
Trying to get accurate weight to some people is a real nesesity. So tell me why everyone tells you teaspoons heaping or not but is every teaspoon the same, I think not. You all seem to have a great scale but no one weighs the salt or media and it would not matter what salt or media you use. I would think this would be the way to go to get more accurate formulas. Heck for that matter when using such small amounts weigh the plastic and all. There would be some differences is molds but way more accurate if you want the weight so close to the original. Then just work with other additives the get the wiggle right. Just the thought I had while reading this.

Only way to get consistent results day after day.
