Driftwood
I just placed my first order of tungsten weights My question is, can you heat and powder coat them like the lead weights?
Guest DiyEngineer
You can powder coat them, but it is slightly harder to coat than lead, also it takes slightly more time, since tungsten conducts heat slower than lead does. Guest DiyEngineer
Most suggest spray painting over powder coating so far that I have seen, also they say to be very care when powder coating as it could clog the hole accidentally. Big discussion on tungsten painting- https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/91993-painting-tungsten-weights/
Driftwood
Thanks for the info. None of these have the plastic insert but painting will probably be a better option.
