wvspeck
So how many shots do you get before you need to re-oil the stone molds? does Pam work? Is there a permanent treatment? Thanks for all the help.
Les Young
I actually tried worm oil on my stone molds & got a lot of flash. I may have used to much though, but i honestly don't think so. After this happened i tried it without any oil whatsoever & haven't had a single problem since & i've made a bunch of baits with these molds. I have been meaning to try the pam trick, but haven't yet. Edited May 18, 2018 by Les Young
wvspeck
Thanks, I have been using worm oil with good success. Shot probably 50 plus baits with very little flash. I have been oiling about every 5 shots or so. Still want to try Pam.
Travis
Never been a fan of Pam and molds. Always got gummy/tacky.

alex p
I had an issue with denting as the baits cooled for a swimbait. I tried worm oil but they came out tacky. The smallest bit of Pam worked wonders. Like, Spray it onto a Q-tip and then go over the cavity of the mold with the Q-tip. Didn't come out tacky and zero dents. I'll say it made me go from hating the stone mold to loving it.
