basskat
I've been pre-fishing for upcoming classic for the past five days. Finally hit on a pattern today that should stick with the cold front we have passing through tonight. I caught 7 fish over 3 lbs and 3 over 5 lbs. Keep your fingers crossed that old Basskat will take home a few extra grand this weekend. Just think of all the bait-making stuff that would buy! basskat
After a full week of pre-fishing, finding a great pattern, making an eighty mile round trip run to these fish, I choke and can't catch them! Weighed in a measly 10 lbs, finished 13th. Can't complain, I finished 9th overall for the year and missed the first tournament back in Febuary while I was in China. Won a little money and had a lot of fun. The last four words say it all "a lot of fun". That's the key. Most of us guys will never break even tournament fishing. If we think we will we're fooling ourselves. The money is nice but the competition is the key One of the best things about fishing this trail is I fish with my oldest son as a partner. HEHE I have him cornered up for eight hours in a 21 foot space where he can't get away! He has to talk to me and me only. You'd be surprised how much you can learn in that amount of time. Well we're through until Febuary, time to catch up on some bait making and prepare for the upcoming year.
