BuckeyeFishing
Will adding heat stabilizer to a plastic remelt do anything or am I just wasting it? I have some plastic that I poured before I got heat stabilizer and I want to remelt it to pour some more of that color. I don't want to waste supplies but if it will keep the plastic from discoloring, I will add it during the remelt.
basscatlildave
I'm no expert by no means but I do a lot of remelts as I've been saving plastics for years. I always add stabilizer when I remelt.
Jig Man
I use it for light color remelts but don't for darker colors. When I remelt I do it in short 20-30 second bursts on the microwave. Stabilizer has a color to it so I only use a few drops when I use it. Cole's Customs
I have found for me that it helps me get more reheats out of my plastic, not scorch plastic, and reduce the color fading
