mark poulson
I'd like to be able to pour some baits with this color combo. It looks like a reddish light brown to me, but I can't seem to get it with the colors I have. Does anyone know what colors I should use to get the plum? alsworms
I always used black grape with red. I'd have to check my notes, but I believe it was 3/4 black grape.
MonteSS
Make a standard red and ad a lil bit of grape or purple.
mark poulson
Thanks. I'll give the red/purple a try, and report back.
alsworms
I looked at my recipe and it read 6 drops black grape and 5 drops red in 4 ounces of plastic. Now this particular plum looks a bit more red, so I believe Monte nailed. Go more on the red side.
MonteSS
Ya i just did a similar color (Zoom Plum Apple). Was much more red than a traditional plum I am used to like Al's showed. He wanted craws and Sticks. I nailed the craws, where the color is lighter and more translucent in the thin appendages and darker in the thick body. But the same color in the thick sticks was too dark and opaque so I had to add more raw plastic and lightened it up. Here is the Zoom color https://zoombait.com/colors/plum-apple/ Edited November 26, 2018 by MonteSS
