Travis
I have worn a respirator with an organic/acid cartridge. Box fan and pour in front of a window works just fine.
Tally
thanks. Is there a reference point of how much fine salt to start with per 4 oz of plastic? Again, I "think" I am wanting heavy salt. Then let the trial and error begin!

SpoonMinnow
Easy to make yourself: Wrap the wire around a nail to create a coil of only 3 turns. Cut and make a loop at the other end.
IBHUFFY1
I'm thinking that he could use the hitch-hiker to attach to the jig hook. Should be better than running the hook through the bait.
Tally
I just bought the Lurecraft's (Pork) 2.5" Trailer V Shape Chunk / 5 cavity . It is a composite mold. Do I need any release agent?
raywillett
If interested I have lots of colorants in larger bottles. I can sell you a few colors in smaller bottles. Tally
Thanks, wasn't sure being a composite mold. I might take you up on the color if I get into different baits.
Les Young
A fellow on bass boat central is tracing the uncle josh trailers out onto a piece leather then cutting them out & dying them & says they work great. Just another option.
TTDuckman
I dont use chunk style trailers often but saw a tip by Randal Tharp that I think could help with the plastic ripping. Take a toothpick and run it laterally just in front of where you plan to put the hook through. On a short bite the bait pulls on the toothpick instead of ripping through the front of the bait. Just clip off the ends so they dont stick out.
