wire benders

i would like mine to look like this but they look like you just twisted the wire like a bread tie, i have the Boggs bender, any help or ideas? i use .024 wire shafts with 1 eye already on them. if i need a different one then i would look for any suggestions

I will have to watch the video much closer to see what i do wrong. Probably have to get it up on the pc with bigger screen

From what you described it sounds to me like you aren't pushing forward while twisting, a very common mistake when first using a bender like this.  I have a different one but the same principle applies, you have to have forward pressure to keep the wire wraps nice and tight otherwise you get the "bread tie" effect.

I found that I was getting poor wraps because I was turning the handle counterclockwise instead of clockwise. Watch the video and you will see he turns the handle towards him. Yes you need to push while turning to get good wraps.
