21xdc
This is what I used on my exhaust fan in the past. https://www.harborfreight.com/router-speed-control-43060.html Edited December 30, 2018 by 21xdc
Salty's
Yes that one out of the package is the same basically as the router speed control. Should work fine.
finlander
So how would that control work on a motor that I just want slowed, never faster??? These things I have never explored so bear with me. I am computer illiterate. Just want to plug things in and have them work.
finlander
And at 10 rpm’s for starters, this might not draw enough for a speed control to have enough of an impact to cut that down. Am I in the right here??
21xdc
I just checked my rotisserie RPM's.... It's only 2.25 RPM's and works great. I don't over saturate my clear coats. I brush off as much epoxy with the brush as I can and it's the perfect amount. I dip KBS and let it drip off the bait until I get 5-10 seconds between drips, And that's the perfect amount. Salty's
Speed controls don't typically speed things up. They reduce the speed. Should work. Wouldnt see why not.
Salty's
If its a 120V motor and you cut the juice by half it should slow way down.
finlander
After I received the motor from eBay a found an old motor on the shelf near the rack. It was hiding under debris from the last quake. Basement is getting insulated so everything is on hold til the work is completed. I’ll update the progress. Thanks for the support. ( I’ll run for office again next year. Please vote. I need a job. )
