PagsJr87
Hi all! New to the forum here. Also new to airbrushing. My airbrush will be arriving today(master g22 set with compressor from amazon). I decided to start with a cheaper setup in case I dont like it. I'm going to be attempting to airbrush trolling spoons for walleye on lake erie. Just curious if anyone has any experience with painting spoons. Maybe some prep tips or any tricks of the trade as they say. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks
21xdc
Clean with acetone, Spray paint to your liking. Dip with KBS Diamond clear and hang to dry 2 coats. Takes 3 weeks to harden completely, But can be handled the next day.

BBK
I do the same, and dip with KBS or spray with rustoleum clear. The rustoleum works well for blade but not so well for spoons. But sometimes on personal baits I'm lazy and just spray them. Otherwise, dip in KBS and hang to cure. Be sure to knock off the drips on the bottom of the spoon with a paper towel and use a skewer to poke through the hook holes to clear them out before it clears. You dont have to do this with cranks, but its a pain to get the clear out of the hook holes in a spoon. Heres a referral link for a 15% off discount if you buy direct from KBS. The stuff isnt cheap, but its good.... really good. Just click the blue "visit KBS coatings" and it will automatically add the discount to your cart. http://kbscoatings.refr.cc/Kbs15off
