TheSquatchBaits
Want to get into pouring soft plastics, but am interested in mainly hand pouring. however when I look at molds they are all injection molds, can I hand pour into those? if not what type of molds are for hand pouring? thanks,
DaveMc1
99.999% of injection molds MUST be used with a hand injector. search for hand pour molds, several of the suppliers have plenty to choose from
Cub48
Go ahead if u are going to get into plastic and buy an injector it is just another 50 bucks. LOL I have hand poured a few but never had any baits that i thought was great quality, they would catch fish but i like mine to look good. About using a injection mold to hand pour most of the time it won't work. The plastic will cool before it fills up the mold . Cub48
mark poulson
I have a few hand pour molds that work just fine. For me, the key is how open the sprue hole is, so the cavities can fill quickly without the sprue cooling and shutting off. I have a friend who bought this hand pour mold from Lurecraft, and he just poured several dozen baits with no problems. https://www.lurecraft.com/7-1_4-Sink-O-4-CAV-ALUM/productinfo/5XK-SB725-4/
