Dipping tails

Ok y’all I have tried dipping tails and I cannot get them not to bleed into each other. I see other people dip their tails and I just cannot find the right stuff. I’m tired of cutting tails and losing them. So I want to make whole baits and dip the tails.

 

Ive tried spike it, do-it, and some other companies product and no luck

Which Spikeit product did you try? If you use there solvent paint you should be fine. Not the dye type.

Ill have the look into that. Bc I think it was the dye I tried. Bc even dipping it in white first then chartreuse is didn’t look good with the dye

Soutx,  If you use Spike it Paint you should be okay. Don't dip the whole  plastic or you may loose it in the Spike it . It can eat  plastics. If you desire a chartreuse yellow dip the plastic into white Spike it paint let dry and then into yellow chartreuse. It won't show up otherwise. I have been painting the white on with a small brush and it works good.  Jimmyjigs

Frank with that spike it I’ll still need to do a base coat of white right?

Yes if you want a bright tail.
