I think they started out using cutouts and drops from a cabinet and sink installer who was using the Russian version of Corian(tm). I seem to recall somebody asking lots of questions about machining the stuff on some of the machining groups I read about the time we started to see some talk about "stone" molds. Thanks a lot for clarifying. Interesting that they are so cheap, when machined, but obviously because the material is very cheap. I'll dig a bit in the machining forum. Regards!
