What is the beat Matte clear to put ove crankbait’s painted with water based paints?

most use something like krylon matte clear. I have read that it is not very durable though. If you want matte you will need to get away from water based paints.

You can achieve this by using 2-3 coats of KBS and let fully cure.... Then lightly use a fine scotch brite pad to knock off the sheen.

automotive clear with a flattening agent.

I've never tried it but spaz stix make a no shine matte finish clear coat, I think its intended for rc cars, maybe worth trying!
