smalliebiggs
I’m thinking of upgrading from a Hot Pot 2 to a production pot. Any advantages to the #20 over the #10 besides capacity? Thanks in advance!
Good Fishing
The 10# pot is far more popular with our customers. Unless you're pouring lots of lead, the 20# pot is generally overkill.
R3Solutions
I disagree with the above. A 20# pot will maintain heat better if you are adding back lead as you go.
bryanmc
I think it depends on what you're using it for. I primarily pour jigs for myself. I might pour 20 at a time (so less than a pound of lead at a sitting). It's much more economical to heat 10 pounds of lead than 20 pounds when you're only going to us 1 pound. If you were going to pour 15 pounds of lead at a shot I'm sure the 20 pound pot would be a better choice.
21xdc
I prefer the larger pot... I see both sides of this. People generally "Upgrade" as they progress in this hobby. If you think you are going to stay in this, Get the bigger one now.
