clefeb2
When adding eyes to my jigs, i've been coating with dev-con 2 ton epoxy. Will the CS coatings clear coat hold the eyes on the jigs? I've never used it before, but it seems like it would be easier and less of a mess than mixing epoxy. But im just wondering if it would serve the same purpose as dev-con. Apdriver
Welcome to TU clefeb2. I think the answer to your question is yes. A lot of guys swear by the CS Sealcoat and dip their jigs in it and hand to dry.
smalljaw
Yes, sealcoat will work, easier and quicker than Devcon 2 ton. I prefer the Devcon, it is much stronger and lasts longer but for sealing eyes sealcoat will work just fine.
Kasilofchrisn
I switched from Devcon2T to Alumi-UV and am really liking it for the eyes. It seems to hold well and yet cures in minutes in my UV light box. But also has unlimited pot life. It's a bit spendy but a quart will last me forever. I'm sure the Clear Coat would also work well. mark poulson
Dollar store clear nail polish holds up just as well, and is fast and cheap (my mantra).
