Azbassinator
Hello everyone, I've been pouring for a couple years now and certainly not pro. I poured a large batch of finesse worms after getting the color and softness correct. Went fishing and while not using the bait it was sitting on the deck it turned as clear as glass. I'm guessing UV did this. Has anyone experienced this and how to remedy it? Thanks
McLuvin175
What colorant / color were you using? What was the "load" on that colorant?
Azbassinator
I can't remember off the top of my head. I will look when I get home and get back to you.
mark poulson
I've had that happen with light blue robo worms over the years, but I have no idea why.
Jonah
Did you put any scent on the worm? Some scents will leech the color out of the plastic
ute
Some dyes, especially chartreuse, will fade in sun light.
Azbassinator
I did use garlic scented worm oil. The dye I used was M-H from Lurepartsonline. The color I was using was red and blue to get a translucent pink. I've seen baits fade, but never have I ever seen them go as clear as glass.
Azbassinator
Thx. So clear I don't think the fish could see it.
