MUDTURTLLE Posted November 5, 2004 Report Share Posted November 5, 2004 I am attempting to make some lexan lips but have some questions?What size wire is good for the line tie and also where to buy the wire from.I've heard alot of people talking about using s.s.wire but don't know where to find it.I did try using some piano wire but it does not bend very easy.Thanks for all the help in advance. Cliff Posted November 5, 2004 Report Share Posted November 5, 2004 If you have a welding supply nearby, try the stainlees steel welding wire. .045 and 1/16" are usually available. I mainly make large lures, but have used the smaller stuff on some large bass lures. Bends a little easier than SS lure/leader wire but stiff enough to keep a lure in tune. Alot cheaper too!
