Munkin
Anyone know of a place to buy these? Both VMC and Gamakatsu make them but I cannot find them. Allen
cadman
Call up Shorty's hook sales. If they don't have them they can get them for you. If you don't know the numbers, send them a pic, they are very helpful.
Jig Man
They are super people to deal with and in stock items come quickly.
smalljaw
What size hook and are you talking light wire or something stout? I'm asking because I know of some but some guys idea of a NED hook is a 2/0 while others are a #4 and others it is a #1 or #2.
21xdc
The bigger ned head mold will be available soon...
smalljaw
Allen, have you found the hooks you are looking for yet? If you are looking at smaller NED hooks, Mustad has the 37188 in a size #2 but if you go to Captain Hooks they still have some in the #1 size. You need to hurry though as it is now discontinued and when it is gone it is gone.

mark poulson
Those look like an EWG hook with a couple inside the lead head.
21xdc
Allen knows.. I have told him before... Regular EWG worm hook with a size 0 SS sinker insert connected inside the lead.
mythos
Not sure how durable they are if you hook up on a hawg though. The weak link would be within the lead where the insert and the hook is at. Anyone bought and tested those yet?
21xdc
The insert is not "Just in the lead" It is connected to the hook eye and has very little chance in pulling out. About the same chance as a spinnerbait hook pulling off. Hard lead would help if you are worried. This finesse technique generally uses lighter line and softer rod that wont pull hard enough to worry about.
mythos
how much lead is from the connection link to exposed hook shank? That's what I'm worried about...the hook becoming loose moving side to side. You may be right though, hard lead might fix that issue. Hopefully there will be a hook available soon to the public where no link will have to be used...sizes 4 through 1/0. Anything higher, might as well just use something else. 21xdc
Using the ss wire sinker eyes allows the use for any size and brand hook... That is a big plus. https://store.do-itmolds.com/Wire-Eyes--pkg_p_1127.html http://www.lurepartsonline.com/Shop-By-Category/Mold-Wire-Forms/Brass-Sinker-Eyes.html?partner=1001

MT204
Someone over on the Facebook page had them custom made. Only had them made in 2/O and only sold like a 1000 at a time.I have made some using a modified Do-It mold and the sinker inserts just make sure they are the steel ones and not the brass ones.....so far no failures.
