Tres
I got some blanks from a new website and wanted to test how they run. Will it be ok for them to be reeled through the water before painting and clear coating?
21xdc
You potentially can let water intrude into the blanks... I'm not a fan of that.
Vodkaman
Water ingress aside, I would say yes. But you must fit the hooks in order to see a realistic look. Dave
JD_mudbug
I usually brush a bit of superglue around the seam, nose tie, and hook hangers on unpainted blanks. It just takes a second and dries quickly. Once water gets in the bait, it is difficult to get out.
DingerBaits
Yes if you properly prep the blank. Like JD said, super glue the line ties, and put the correct size hooks on like Dave stated. I personally wont run a blank unless it is painted because there are some other possible variables (clear coat).
