Sothernyankbass
What type of lure coloring do you use to get this non see through effect? Is this powder rarger than liquid? Where do I find it? To be clear, not asking about the recipe, asking about the actual coloring material.
mark poulson
I get that effect if I add finely ground salt, or a couple of drops of white.
Frank
If you go to Spikeit and look at there colorant they have a scale of how transparent it is. You want opaque colors. Not sure if anyone else does that.

Adding white to both colors will definitely help if you don’t want to use salt.
Good Fishing
Look for non bleed liquid colors. They're typically made with pigment (instead of dye), so they're more opaque. Generally speaking, they also don't bleed like some dye-based colors will (hence the name).

Frank
Yes very much so. The color he is showing in the pic is an opaque color. Not much see through. Adding white will make colors more opaque but will change the actual color dramatically. The scale that spike it has is really good to use for there colors because as you buy and use them you will understand the scale.
