Mattys19
Hello everyone, My son and I just started pouring and have made a few dozen senkos and curly tail worms. He does the color making. 1 color we are trying to make is Daiquiri. I believe it is an old Zoom color but I think Yamamoto made it too. We have tried a few times, but we can't seem to get it right. The color is extremely hard to find in our area but works really well. Anyone have any experience with this color?

mark poulson
I would guess that the slight color you are seeing is from the glitter used, not a colorant. I would experiment with different fine glitters like green or blue, along with the fine silver and coarse black, to see if you can get that color.
alsworms
Judging from what I see, I think Mark nailed it, but there also might be a bit of green hi-lite in there.

Roger Linnell
I have some Yammy daiquiri and I think I made one feeble attempt at copying the color, epic failure. I think it has some color, maybe from pearls Edited November 25, 2019 by Roger Linnell
jigmeister
Green hi- lite powder , Fine gold hologram glitter , Medium black glitter . If you're pouring baits loaded with salt (like Yamamoto ) this will lighten the finished color but if not maybe a touch of white pearl hi- lite powder or a drop or 2 white liquid color should do the trick . I have wasted a lot of plastic trying to match colors before I started testing mixing up color variations using clear cooking oil . You can get the desired color very close using the oil then fine tune the recipe using plastisol .
Les Young
I was going to say it looked like it had a lot of salt to me.
Long Lake Lures
I would guess just a small amount, fraction of a drop, of LC Watermelon with salt and flake as needed.

Les Young
I know when i was trying to get a kietech style color look on a swimbait I put a tablespoon of koesher salt to 3 ounces plastc with just a skewer tip of blue to get it. Without the salt it wasn't happening with the colorant i had.
