Hillbilly voodoo
I have made a few but don’t have them anymore. They were not fancy just a box that was divided to hold big trolling lures. They were heavy so if I build another big boat box I would be looking to cut weight Friends and family coned me out of the few I made
ravenlures
Just something I have been wanting to do 1/8" plywood and Cedar. Can't find any cedar plywood 1/8" or 3/16" so I can get a 4 X 8' maple for 32.00 well I'll see Im not going anywhere. Thanks Wayne
Travis
Would be a neat project. Are you set up to resaw? Could make you own ply since wouldn't need a lot of ply. If frame and panel may be able to just use solid wood cut to your desired thickness. I couldn't see using it outside of storing lures at home to help organize stuff or holding a collection. With that solid wood isn't a big issue. Edited February 5, 2020 by Travis
ravenlures
I can't re-saw but I know of a person that could but I would worry about warping. He is a cabinet maker. Making my own plywood I think I will stay away from that I think it will just stay inside. Wayne

Mine were bulky but they basically lived in my boat tucked under the bow. Like I said nothing fancy 3/4 inch ply outside, 1/4 inch ply grid, and a 3/4 solid top with hinges. I used cedar because it’s easy to come by in the North west and a fiber glass resin coat to help protect it. Each compartment had a saw cut to hang the lure hook on I nice wood one would be good for the house but I think I will go plastic for my next boat box
ravenlures
I think I will do this project and hope it comes out ok about 18" long X 10 to 12 wide and 12 deep 1 tray 2 drawers and place for spinners in the top of box when you open it, compartments for maps and papers on sides. Its in my head which I better draw it up because its going fast. I can seal it with KBS. Just brush it on costly but what the hell. Have to wait for warmer weather. Wayne Sounds way fancier than what I have made. When your done it would be interesting to see what you have come up with
KennyP
I have put some thought into one as a project I could build with my grandson. I would definitely be interested to see what you come up with.
