Fisheye48
Saw that Dead On Plastix sells a pyrex divider cup. Has anyone made their own with any success? If so what did you make the divider from that held up.
Jig Man
I cut a piece of aluminum flashing and epoxied it in. I heat both colors in separate containers, pour them into the divided cup .
JP_I'm_here
Yes I have! Microwaveable as well! i used a standard Pyrex cup and then got some scrap ceramic glass from a glass shop near by and cut it myself to fit in the cup using a template I made from cardboard. The ceramic glass I used was leftover from the glass shop making a replacement window for a wood stove. i made one with high-temp silicone to adhere it to the Pyrex cup and another I made with JB weld. i have used them both several times without issue. one word of caution would be that the ceramic glass that I used is not 100% microwave safe. I did some testing and found that as long as there was plastic in the cup, the ceramic glass did not react to the microwaves. I ran a test with the cups empty in the microwave and found that the Pyrex glass did not get warm but the ceramic glass did get just a little warm. And I mean a LITTLE. I have put glass in the microwave before to see if it was microwave safe and glass that is not gets HOT and cracks. This did NOT happen with the ceramic glass. It just got a little warm. I have been using them cautiously for about a month and haven’t had any trouble.
