BretB59
Hello. I just joined your forum after reading a bunch interesting and informative threads. I live in Bend, Oregon and used to own a kokanee tackle manufacturing company (my wife and I made everything) that got way too busy so we sold it. My current goal is to learn the process of finishing hard baits on a very small scale ( just enough for my buddy and I). I started out by buying some blank plastic plug bodies. I have an airbrush (Paasche) and a small compressor. Reading some of these threads it sounds like I should upgrade the airbrush and add an inline regulator and filter. For now I am going to practice with what I have and upgrade later. I have some Createx Wicked colors for paint, Auto Borne sealer and Createx 4030 and 4011. I want to use a holoform scale tape on top of my painted finish and then finish with a clear. From what I have read it looks like a 2 part clear epoxy or a UV resin is what I should use. Any suggestions on these (and any other things) would be much appreciated. I look forward to learning from all of the experience on this forum.
