Hillbilly voodoo Posted May 5, 2020 Report Share Posted May 5, 2020 Ok first attempt with KBS and I got bubbles. I brushed on 6 coats 1.5 hours apart no bubbles when I went to bed. Woke up this morning an every lure has one ore two good size bubbles. What went wrong? 21xdc Posted May 5, 2020 Report Share Posted May 5, 2020 Too many coats too soon... The product needs time to gas off. Not sure why you want 6 coats. 2 coats, 2hrs apart works fine. Between teeth and hook rash from trolling they take above average abuse researching what others have used for coats of KBS it seems 4-8 coats is what most using for pike/musky baits. Joey righter Posted November 14, 2020 Report Share Posted November 14, 2020 So as we all know kbs unfortunately will bubble on you. Especially if your dipping baits outside and its humid. Well unfortunately for me its always humid cause I live in texas. But there is a pretty easy solution for it. If bubbles do happen just have a torch lighter or heat gun handy. Keep it just far enough away to where you don't burn lure, but close enough for heat to get to clear coat and the bubbles will disappear Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
