Hillbilly voodoo
Ok first attempt with KBS and I got bubbles. I brushed on 6 coats 1.5 hours apart no bubbles when I went to bed. Woke up this morning an every lure has one ore two good size bubbles. What went wrong? Lures are too big to dip with the amount of KBS I have
21xdc
Too many coats too soon... The product needs time to gas off. Not sure why you want 6 coats. 2 coats, 2hrs apart works fine. Using a brush can also promote bubbles over dipping.

Between teeth and hook rash from trolling they take above average abuse researching what others have used for coats of KBS it seems 4-8 coats is what most using for pike/musky baits. I just split the difference to test what species are you fishing with 2 coats?
21xdc
Bass/Walleye/Pike … This product keeps getting harder over time.... 3 weeks to fully cure. But I fish with mine in 2 days.
Hillbilly voodoo
Thanks I will give it a try with less coats and see how they hold up
Joey righter
So as we all know kbs unfortunately will bubble on you. Especially if your dipping baits outside and its humid. Well unfortunately for me its always humid cause I live in texas. But there is a pretty easy solution for it. If bubbles do happen just have a torch lighter or heat gun handy. Keep it just far enough away to where you don't burn lure, but close enough for heat to get to clear coat and the bubbles will disappear
21xdc
I'm not a fan of using heat or flame with highly flamable products... Epoxy is one thing... Never KBS or similar.

Salty's
If you can stop kbs from bubbling I bet you'd be a millionaire.
