Kasilofchrisn
My fluid beds are cheap yet work great. There are no unions in mine. I use a 3" flat cap as the base with an aquarium valve glued in. I use knock out test caps to secure my membrane in the cups. With the reducer fittings my 3" bed becomes a 2" or 1.5" in seconds. I never understood why they need to glue the plexiglass on? A flat cap is so much easier and most likely cheaper too!
ddl
i guess it is just to make sure it will be more stable ? so it should look like that ? lil dots= cut and the strange things is the valve.im not picasso as you can see
Kasilofchrisn
I'm not home right now. I'll try to remember to take a picture of one of mine tonight. For more stability I have one set of fluid beds screwed to a short wood board. Two fluid beds side by side. Cost me a couple of spare screws and a scrap piece of lumber. I like the dual for doing white base coats and then my main color. But on its own a 3" flat cap is plenty stable.
