Parishomme
Hello and good morning I would like to know if anyone has some ideas or suggestions on how to make an injector out of Aluminum or other type of tube material to use for injecting hot plastic into aluminum molds? Would it be cheaper just to buy one online than to make one from scratch List of Parts and assembly That would be great Thank you for your help and ideas
bryanmc
Not only is it likely cheaper to buy one, it's most definitely safer.
Travis
Not that hard or complicated to be honest. Cheaper to buy one but then again for many it would be cheaper to just buy lures than make them.
Les Young
There's several different options. for injectors. I really like both my single 6 ounce & my twin 6 ounce dual injector. I also had a basstackle 10 ouncer & it was a good one too.
Apdriver
Yeah, you could make one if you have a decent lathe. Maybe a CNC with some training. Otherwise, I would buy one. It’s not worth putting together a turkey baster injector at the risk of what 350 degree heated plastic can do to your body. We are talking 3rd degree burns. The few pics I’ve seen aren’t real pretty. Jig Man
I have made several. They don’t last very long and are dangerous as a cocked pistol.

There are places you can cut corners to save money but injectors aren't one of them...

Parishomme
It would probably cost more to get all the tools and items needed to make one. It would be better if I just went and purchased one and alot safer.
Shepherd
I started with a aluminum cylinder turkey baster. I just cut the probe off and smooth it off on my bench grinder. It works really well I still use it for small injections
