Tonyowen1989@gmail.com
Im looking to build some spinners for salmon. I kind of want to use the idea of the mepps flying c but im having difficulty finding heavy bodies. Any suggestions?
Apdriver
I went through this several years ago. Built up a bunch for a King trip to the Nushagak in Alaska. Found out they like eggs a lot better than spinners! I think for the heavyweight spinners you will have to go with Brass Lure bodies and depending on how many you want there are a couple places where you can purchase them. Worth sells them at a wholesale price but in bulk. You don’t have to buy a thousand but there’s a small fee for less than that. Say 100. Then prolures online has a good selection if you just want a few. Here’s some links. http://www.proluresonline.com/s.nl/sc.14/category.22270742/.f https://lurecomponents.worthco.com/products/lure-bodies
Go55
How about flipping weight for Bass? The ones sold for purpose punching through heavy grass mat. 3/4oz through 2oz and smaller size compare to same weight of lead. I am not sure they are paintable though. Maybe powder coatable? Go55
I meant tungsten weight. Sorry about not to mention so in the last post.
21xdc
I would use this mold and put a larger wire in it than what you will build with. Pour and pull wire out.... Plenty of weight choices. Do-It Trolling Sinker Molds - Barlow's Tackle
