rustedhook
A friend wants me to make him a skipping jig. I'm thinking a wide bottom is best. Was wondering if this Do-It Style "S" Bass Weedless Jig Mold would do the job. Any one use this mold that could post a picture? RPM
rustedhook You want a Arky style head for a Skipping Jig, something with a broad flatter style head is what I've found best. Been using an Arky style head for many years and they work great.

basskat
The old Arkie is overlooked by tons of fishermen. I also like the jig for stroking. It kind of see saws as it falls. Creates a lot of strikes.
VersatileFuturian
I love the Style S mold. It's the old stanley jigs head I believe. Good all around head. Skips well and comes through wood better than any jig I have seen. Get the medium weedguard from fishingskirts.com.

Modified the mold for a Gamy 614 hook and also modified for spring keeper. My friend wanted a casting jig that closely resembles the Dirty Jigs Luke Clausen casting jig. I made him 3 in the colors he wanted so he could try and see if he liked them. He called me two days later and asked me how many I would make him thinking he might want a dozen. He ordered 50. I was pouring and tying jigs all day. I use the medium weed guards from fishing skirts.com because they seem just a bit heaver than the others.
