iceman
Hi Does anyone know where a person can get there hands on some paint like what was on some Bomber lures? I think they called it G-Finish or G-Flake. It was highly reflective in low light. Thanks for any help.
Richoc
Paint it white. Then pearl. Then top with fine white/transulocent glitter and you you get very close. Might even be better. They were tops in there time, but I just went and looked at one and I am not impressed.
Skeeter
The original G finish was a decal over the pearl. It never lasted and fell apart. It looked pretty but it was nothing but garbage. Skeeter
Lure--Prof
What Skeeter said...I have a Cordell C.C. Shad still unopened in the original blister pack--The lure is now mostly bone color; the G-finish is in little flakes at the bottom of the pack. Go with Richoc's advice for a finish that will be at least every bit as effective with no reliability issues. Dean
KrawdadBill
What Skeeter and Dean said... I still have an old Deep Wee R in the G finish. It didn't preform like my standard black back, silver sided, white bellied or olive green backed white bellied Wee R's. In my honest opinion, Createx pearl white and chamelion gold are hard to beat, whether painting new lures or repainting old lures.
