SilverXFoX
Hellos everyone. I’ve made wire baits for a good while and is like to try making some hard baits with colors I don’t see as much. I’m planning on painting a couple of baits not a huge batch and was wondering how much paint I should thin for say 4-10 range. All of the videos I see about mixing and thinning paint is half a bottle of paint. If I’m doing small amounts of a color should I go drop by drop or get a mixing cup? Any information would be appreciated as I’m a complete newb to this. I have an airbrush and some. Createx airbrush paints as well as createx thinner. thank you
mark poulson
I put a few drops of thinner into the airbrush bowl, and then add my paint. I stir it with a toothpick, backflush gently, and do a test shoot. I add more thinner or paint depending on my test results.

Hillbilly voodoo
I do mine by drops and keep small bottles of pre mixed pair around. I blend colors of paint often so this method benefits me
Outlaw4
only paints i pre mix are base colors where coverage is king for all accent colors i do exactly as mark and mix in the bowl. i prefer this as depending on the particular detail im doing i may want more or less paint / reducer. Like i might thin down a gold pearl a lot if im just trying to get a sheen on something, or i might spary it straight if im doing dots
