robbor
Im going to have to put my vulcanizer in storage but before i do i want to make a few crappie jig head molds. 1/32 thru 1/4 oz. Wondering if i should make them on a 9" mold or 12" mold? For u guys who cast about how many heads are you putting in either mold? I dont think its worth the expense to go larger than 12" . My vulcanizer goes up to 18. And i think i have mold frames up to 24". Ill probably make 3-4 molds, one for each size head. I have aluminum original master molds i made years ago for my crappie heads on the heavy side so they will still come close to desired weight after mold shrinkage and compression. Not sure if im going to go with multi layer red and white or blue nicem. figure the molds will about last me forever either way. dlaery
9" - 28 to 35 parts 12" will get about 30% more, not worth it me.
