trout_tapout
My name is Josh and I am from Buffalo NY. I want to learn how to pour and cut tubes -- big ones, and multi colored ones. Something like a Lindy Tiger Tube, if you are familiar, only bigger and thicker. Maybe like a 9" tube. I would be willing to pay someone to teach me, either in person or with advice or maybe even by video. I am a fast learner, who fishes for big fish and wastes LOTS of money on tubes every year. Now it is the off seaon I want to learn to make my own and I am willing to pay. If you know how to do it, and do it well, please drop me an e-mail. trout_tapout@yahoo.com
WidowMaker
This is pretty much a site where "hands on" type people come to discuss and trade lure making ideas. You most likely didnt get a response to your post because you dont have any info to contribute to the site. Which is not that big of deal because youre a new poster here and not familiar with how this site operates. Folks here want reliable info from hands on experienced type people. Very few of the poster here have had the luxury of someone personally walking them through any of their baitmaking methods. Instead they just went to work, made mistakes and corrections as they went along. Many have gone from not knowing their butts from a hole in the ground to creme of the crop of baitmakers. They are the best at what they do and that is what you have to set out to be. Do a search of the site in order to get some info to go on and then reintroduce yourself with some more specific questions such as: "Hello my name is Josh and i am thinking about pouring some tubes.....ive never dipped soft plastic tubes before and from what ive gathered Calhoun Plastic seems to be a step in the right direction". "I would assume my next step would be to check out some of the various color pigments. Lure craft seems to be highly spoken of. What is the advantage to using Lure Craft over some of the others?"
